Plus a lower and my shattered one.
Door cups
What else? Even if we can't print it now scanning it ahead of time makes sense.
Based on my rough estimate a surround would run about $20-30 in plastic... Worth investigating

Re: 3d printing and broken stereo consoles
3D printing with ABS is good for prototyping but won't stand up to heat in the engine bay i'm afraid, other materials might though.
Also FDM type printing like what most of the low end machines do (building up in layers) won't make air tight or water tight parts, you need laser sintering process with Nylon for that (more expensing), just something to consider.
Just seen the date, funny.

Exactly what you said PLA and ABS are just not suitable for engine bays... Makes it hard for car parts as the finish is never going to be good enough for cosmetic pieces either...Rob Furniss wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2018 1:53 am 3D printing with ABS is good for prototyping but won't stand up to heat in the engine bay i'm afraid, other materials might though.

Re: 3d printing and broken stereo consoles
Although my SLS Nylon parts have held up well in the engine bay after more than a year, only thing is discolouring/fading of the blue dye (and the cost).
