Thats way below cost, but then again large departments usually use undercost products to draw customer in. Please confirm if you can get them, as i just get it from BigW instead of from my supplier.dannyboyau wrote:it is 78$ at big W

Its got nothing to do with dodgy, its got to do with volume of purchase, like i said we don't sell games, so we get sh*t prices for them, but hey i'm only trying to help.
If you don't understand that, then i'll be happy to give u "ruchi" type of answer, so you have a good night reading on "sales & marketing+logistic"

ok, just how the hell are you suppose to lap the Nurburgring circuit in under 8mins???
i just cbf'd wasting sooo much time cracking the Nurburgring circuit just for my Special Licence so out of sheer frustration i bought an FD RX7 and tuned it for the Japan Cup. Managed to win that tournament quite easily and sold the 300ZX LM car... (300K+ worth) guess what i bought next? Say "Hello" to my new toy, the Mines R34 GTR!

WELL... to be honest im not impressed.
i have both xbox and PS and i believe forza motorsport is the way to go. ok GT4 has 700 cars.. does it really, i belive they added it up like this. fto -gpx, gr, gpvr. there is three cars right there but it doesnt end there, fto gr, gpx, gpvr pre face lif and post face lift, there you have 6 cars, see how they add that up. im not impressed by that. 700 different cars fine, but a model is not a different car. especially since i hardly see the point in getting a gr over a gpvr to save $1000 in game. why bother with that model. oh and the literally 100 year old cars, great novolty, but useless in a racing game, they went to all lengths to hit 700 cars. forza has 230 DIFFERENT cars, taking models out it sort of the same.
putting gt2 on and gt 4, i only see a marginal improvement on the so called SUPER graphincs. they are not that good, but i couldnt care less about graphics coz its game play you want, any game these days is good enough in graphics. besides i go the PC if its graphics i want.
speaking of game play, wow the realistic driving sim, just like on TV when the cars bounce of each other and the wall to get past opponents, come on people, you cant go on about how realistic the cars handle when you can bounce off things, it ruins the realism TOTALLY. a crap blur effect is no substitute. every other game has damage to real world cars these days GT still refuses to, and its not coz the real world manufacturers dont want damage its coz the PS cant handle GT4 WITH DAMAGE, its an aging console with serious limitations, this game is not a sim for that reason alone at the end of the day. V8 supercars is a better simulation i believe. Forza on the other hand has damage and not just asthetic either, handling and performance is effected, and the car can be made a total wreck. you want simulation, then you pay for your mistakes on the track, not like NFS2 and GT4.
Customisation is not impressive, you can do all the things everygame has. in GT4 you get turbos, engine bits and tads and tires, wieght stuff all the norms. in forza you get all this PLUS body kits if you wish, decals, paint kits, and so on. you get the best of both worlds, moders can do NFS things to their cars, and those who dont want to dont have to. also in GT4 there is a bug in the game, if you change the game ratings for bhp to kw in options the game doesnt convert it on the modification part of the game. it uses bhp figurs as kw. so youll get 400Kw fto, when its 400 bhp.
forza also has a cool realism feature that splits the world into AMERICA, ASIA, EUROPE, depending where you choose to start your profile, ease of availability and price of cars changes accordingly, now thats simulation.
i believe forza is the better game even though the car handling and possibly graphics may be the same or a smidgen less then the well established GT4. i assume becasue forza is new it may lack slightly in small areas, with improvements in later editions, but i may be wrong for grapgics, coz the screen shots look awesome and the XBOX handles frame rate better.
oh and 6 cars only at a time is not ideal i must say, i dont know if Forza will be the same in this regard but its yet another of the PS limitations. in V8 supercars the xbox had better graphics and a field of 24 cars, PS had only 12 cars and lesser visual. also there where limits to how many cars you could see ahead of you and in rear view mirror and distance issues and clipping issues and you name it. i know i have both PS and XBOX and usually get the game on both console when i can, (burnt obviously), when the missus takes one in the bedroom i just use the other console. (ahh the joys of a missus who likes to play games)
i will definatly be getting forza next month. it sounds and looks the better game allround, rather then GT2 with better grapgics and extra cars you will not use, oh and the 2 part of GT is now a 4. WOW (feel the sarcasm people, feel it...oh yeah)
sorry for the long post but i feel the game needed a 'brief' review for those wishing they had a PS for this game. dont worry, the xbox will more then cater for your needs.
but in the end, GT4... good game without doubt, BUT ONLY GOOD!, its not arcade nor is it simulation, frankly...im not impressed.

I'm a sinner, yet forgive me nothing. I'm a heathen, but forever free.
