Finally up to the color!

Post by CSV »

Hey guys,

I have decided on how I want my FTO to look, all except the color. Now I have narrowed it down to three colors.

Black
Orange
Ford Blue

I dunno which one to pick! This is tearing me apart. I need the FTO Communities opinion on this one.

So now onto the rest of the styling, now this is what it will ultimatly look like. With different mags and possibly a different color.

So I need to find where to get the series 2 front spoiler and a GP Version R spoiler. Any suggestions?

Version R spoiler (copy)- Kingsmart in Hongkong - I hope your multilingual skills are up to scratch cause your gonna need em!

Also, to semi-hijack this thread.

Anyone know where to get the Ralliart window thing on the front windscreen in that ^ pic.
Proper ralliart, not cheap copy.
My pic was too big.

There is a different between proper Ralliart stickers & copy??? How can you tell?

Anyway which Ford blue are you refering too? I personally like the blue that similar to Ethan's one. Orange as in Hacket Gold like the Holden? I know a chick got it done on her FTO in Melb, but it doesn't suit the FTO.

White FTO's are ass spankingly sexy.

Also vote for orange (surprisingly good) and black.

Could someone possibly chop that original pic of mine and change the color to the blue or orange?

Cheers

I vote for Slither's Blue, love that colour on the FTO. It's Like red for Ferrari's and yellow for Lambos. Why the hell didn't Mitsi think to do it?

But I think the silver stickers distracts from the awesome colour and shape of the FTO ... so CSV ... I vote no for the stickers

Oh ... and I don't work for Slither ;)

depends on what kind of look you want.
If you going for a show car - hit the house of colours paints.
if your after race - go for somethin more aggressive, like Black or gunmetal or somethin.
my 2cents of style. 8)

go for tangerine dream or tangellow
2 very crazy oranges then lay down and corse gold flake on top would look sick.
If you like blue then use a black base coat with a blue candy over it would look crazy too.
Any colour but purple is fine with me.

hehehheeh I was going to re-spray the exact same colour as yours, but end up doing amost the same colour as indy's.

I know theres another two purple FTO in Oz, one in QLD, & the other in VIC.

Ok guys the decision has been made.....

The color I want is the same as indyfto's U LIKE.

Does anyone know where I can pick up some of that paint? How much will it set me back?

The paint on "U LIKE" was a stock standard Lexus colour. For your reference it is: Silver Mist Metallic, paint code 1C0 (one C zero). Any panelshop should be able to mix that up for you without any probs. My respray cost approx $2500 alone for everything resprayed except under bonnet.
