Tail light out ..

Post by JOeJOe »

I've search through the forums but can't find anywhere which mention the type of bulbs used, so can anyone help me?

I'm after the tail light bulb not the brake lights.

They are you normal brake lights too, I've replace all 4 of them with the LED version before. Just pull it out and go to you local service station and they can match it for you.

You do need to dissemble the whole rear light cluster to get to it. Two nuts on each side and push it out slowly from inside of the boot.

Yeah they suppose too, but i never had a chance to find out.......as i need them to blow out first

Their lumen spectrum isn't as wide, so they appear aren't as bright, but they are brighter at direct line of sight. If you going to get some, make sure you get the clear one and not the red one.

No Prob, I got them from the following site.

http://www.ledshoponline.com/automotive ... ds3156.htm

They are 19 LED one, there are 24 and 36 LED version, which are much brighter, but this site don't have them in white.

Btw i forgot to mention generally 1156 is the brake and 1157 is the tail.

Another good site which someone else had posted before.

http://www.superbrightleds.com/tail-brake-turn.html

I8AFRE you should try the 3 Watt Luxeon LED, it clam to be the brightest.
