Moving front rotors to back wheels ..

I'm thinking of buying the DBA Slotted rotors for the front wheels, they are around $200 each. The standard back rotors are like $170 each.

So i'm thinking, buy the slotted rotors for the front then move my current front one's to the back coz they are still in really good nick. Any issues with doing this?

Well for starters the front rotor is a good bit bigger which means the caliper bracket for the back wont fit back. Secondly I could be wrong but I belive the rear brakes use a different hub to allow for the handbrake, and thirdly you would upset your brake bias which for a small change like that shouldnt be a big deal but generally is not a good thing.

Probably too much hastle for little benefit. Could as well upgrade your front brakes better since they do over 80% of your braking anyhow.

Then i think i'll upgrade the fronts first and worry about the backs for another time

save your money and just upgrade the front. The back does so little work, you'll hardly notice it.

and just confirm what redline said. NO, the front will not fit on the back unless you make some modification to the calipers

Thats not *the best* advice i've ever heard.
People need to keep in mind brake balancing. Me personally, i love to trail brake hard into corners right on the limit of traction, getting the car's back end oh-so-slightly sideways. Technically not the best way in FWD to go around most corners, but the *only* way on some...

Adding a massive front bias could really f**k me up, in a situation like that.

Remember also that your front disc (rotor ) is a lot wider, as well as having a bigger diameter so I cant see it fitting the rear caliper, even if you took account of the diameter.
