well I got a price of 3k from umm but that was for 1 set so might be different.

I’ve done a proper costing of the time and cost of materials to build them.

The kits will include everything you need to get your doors going up
Including:
2 Hinges Fully Assembled (All parts constructed and assembled in Australia)
2 Gas Struts (Made in Australia)
All mounting equipment
Wiring Covers, Rubber Grommets and Covers
Full installation instructions with diagrams
And replacement side repeaters (indicators) that plug into the original socket.

I will post up some mock-ups of the design of the repeaters for review before finalizing the design. For those that don’t know, the original repeaters don’t fit.

For individual sets $2800
For 5 buyers or more $2500
For 10 Buyers or more $2200
For 15 buyers or more $2000
For 20 buyers or more $1900

Put the government grant in there and the prices are pretty good

These prices are based on spreading the development time and costs over a larger number of hinge sets.
Many of the Components i will be able to purchase in bulk for some good savings and making a large number at once will save a lot of set-up time when machining the parts.

Would the replacement indicators be clear?
Really would like to keep that about the car as I dont see it to often.

For the repeaters i was thinking something like this...but after seeing them on the car I’m not too sure.

They are brushed stainless and the F part would be semi transparent so you could see the flash.

These are my clears which I'm rather partial to.
Dunno where they're off, they came with the car.





But yeah, there is a large bulk behind the light that would likely get in the way.

i think those "f" inys would look nice on a red/black fto

I perfer those other repeaters you did a while back jerome. The ones where the "F" was in chrome, they looked unreal

They're the Perfect Run, D Speed clears from the GB I ran a year or 2 ago

These ones.

They are just a polished replica of the plastic ones but with clear lenses. They are too big to fit with the hinges. I'm guessing the D-Speed ones would be too big too. They can't stick out more than 20mm.

I did start making these but the LED is crap. don't know if its just that led or not. i was going to put the same clear lense on them with the F.


If i can't figure something out would people prefer i don't supply any side repeaters and just make the hinges cheaper?

Personally i'd just weld up the hole and smooth it off, but that means more money to get the panel painted. I've had duct tape over the holes for about three years now no cops have said anything and have had no problems from doing this. In the pictures i have black duct tape. I ran out of the normal grey duct tape which matches pretty well and look better than the orange waffles

Jerome .. do you have any of the "F's" casted at the moment?

I have the D Speed clear indicators, but wouldn't mind getting a pair of the "F's" to stick on them ..
