Ok since i'm in the industry and even I work for an opposition company, i have to say the R40 is pretty good notebook.

AWA does their warranty in Oz, so i know their warranty service are excellent.

Well if you after a good all rounder tablet, then have a look at the Fujitsu Lifebook T4215, and if you want something light and small then P1610.

The T4215 would be more ideal, as it got a bigger screen which mean more space for hand writing recognition, the P1610 is really made for corporate rich bastard that like their gadgets.

Both are made in Japan, have spill resistant keyboard, HDD shock sensor, 2yrs pick up and return warranty.

With the T4215 You can take out the DVD burner and put a heavy duty battery, so it will be the same size. And if she doesn’t use the burner she can put a weight saver, so it can be even lighter. There is also a security lock that other brand don't offer, it won't even boot up to the bios if you don't enter it correctly. The LCD can also be turn left and right way, while other brands can only turn one way, that mean she won't accidentally snap the hinge.

P1610 http://www.fujitsu.com/sg/services/com ... k/p/p1610/

Fujitsu are a little bit more, but you can easily justify it by its quality and features.
