Worn gear stick bushes

I've got a wobbly knob and I don't like it! ;)

When I put my car in gear (manual), I can shake the gear stick around, side-to-side. It dosen't effect the car in gear, just makes changing gears less smooth. I'm making an assumption that there are some bushes - rubber or otherwise - around the linkages under the center console. Can anyone provide me any info on this? Or does anyone know what I need to replace (part numbers?) and where I could source these parts?

Cheers,

Gavin

Yeah, there's a couple of nylon 'cups' that snap on the vertical & horizonal pivots points of the stick itself. I'll dig up the numbers from CAPS tonight. I think there might also be a few other little plastic bits in there that wear - I'll pop up the diagram as well

I was half way right *Bens brain swims in beer suds*

There's 1 main bush cup on the base of the stick which will most certianly cause 'loose stick' as you say

Part number is MR232147

Cool, I'm getting them replaced in about a week, according to my mechanic, $18 or $36 (depends which mechanic I speak to) out of Melbourne.

Durr! Don't mind me, I think I'm retarded. Obviously the $36 is for the two of them.
