Help Needed - ECU error 32 - Vacuum Sensor

Post by sp8ced22 »

Hi all,

first post on the Aussie site which is 8) btw, im from the UK FTOOC, im having a few probs so though i might post up here and see if you guys could help

as title says im geting error code 32 - Vacuum Sensor this has only occured since installing an Apexi Neo. :(

now basically when i turn the ignition on wait for all the lights etc to go out when i start the car it starts but very roughly and idles lumpy too and then a few sconds later engine management light comes on briefly then it goes out and all is well and engine management light does not come back on so its only occuring during engine starting. therefore it cant be a vac leak on the pipes as i would constantly get this prob.

question is why is it doing it? checked and tripple checked all the wiring for the neo all is ok, all the sensors ae showing correct info on the neo does anyone on here have any ideas or had a similar issue and can shed some light on it for me or any suggetions

thankyou in advance :)

Hmmm... still sounds vac pipe related... possibly pcv valve failing?

Have you have a look on the 'leccy diagrams or CAPS to find out where exactly the vacuum sensor is?

yes as far as i can tell its on the bulkhead directly behind and slightly higher than the manifold as a vac pipe runs from the back of the manifold to a little sensor that has a multi plug same place where the earth straps come from and atach to the clamp fitting for the throttle cable.

surely if it was vac pipe related the engine management light would come on and stay on once engine is running but only comes on 5 secs after engine has started then goes out.

Maybe there is a restriction like a kinked hose or vacuum leak in the hose goin to the MAP sensor, thats what it sounds like.

ok checked all the vac pipes today and all are connected ok nice and snug, does any one have access to CAPS as i have uninstalled and cant find the isk i had it on  the only vac type sensor i can find is the MAP sensor on the rear bulkhead which has a vac piped going to it from the manifold. could the Apexi Neo be causing the problem? as this takes the sensor info but at present im not running any corrections on it at all until i can get to a rolling road to get it setup
