Ummmm....most mechanics arent criminals....if you go to the right places...dont go to places where all the workers are apprentices, cos they are the drop kicks from school. Go to someone you would trust with your car.

2) My mate is a retired mechanic, so when we are not lazy we work on the car... He has worked on many a FTO in his time...

Racing in a VL is like being in the Special Olympics, coz even if you win, you're still a RETARD

    +1 Ricol

    gave me realistic time frames
didn't have to sell an organ
didn't assume that i was an idiot that knew nothing about cars
and they understand how people can be over protective of their pride and joy

What prices have people had from Ricol for a standard service?

With my old FTO I took it to UAS who charged $350 for a general service, I must say I was pretty unimpressed.

With my new FTO, I take it out to Kingswood where the previous owner got it done, they charged about $160 for general service PLUS did the roadworthy, and I was very pleased with the service.

Not sure on all services, but I compared my 100k service to the UAS price, and was a fair bit cheaper ...

Granted I know the Ricol Guys, and they have built 2 of my project cars .... But from what I have seen they tend not to overcharge ... Feel free to tell they boys that Craig (with the FTO/Evo) sent you there, and Colin & Rick will look after you ...

They have a lot of experience, and really know jap cars... They have done a few Toyota Cressida 1JZ - 2JZ and 7MGT-E Swaps, my Hyunai/Evo Swap, my Evo conversion, Worked on the FTO, Serviced my commodore, helped me service my motorbike, + they have 2 drift Sylvia's .... Colin had a nice Data 1200 converted to RB20, and all the cars they work on are pretty nice ... But yeah, just my $0.02
