Regretting Buying FTO - Rant Session

Post by Dan25 »

SO f**king OVER IT ALREADY. I buy an FTO because I love the shape of it and the way it drives, not for the "performance" that all these parents and sh*t think I bought it for, automatically labelling me a "revhead". I start driving it to school and all these dickheads with their 1980s commonwhores and falcons are like "oh mummy and daddy bought it for him" and ripping on it just because my fanbelt squeals for like 10 seconds on cold start up, saying "ohh your car sounds sh*t" and whatever.

Well I bought the car by myself, I don't even live with my parents coz i hate them so much, and my engine is f**king fine. So I wish people would just get lost. I honestly didn't think I would cop this much flak jsut coz I'm on my P's with a good "sports" car. I know people are just faggots coz they are jealous, and they would be way proud of themselves if THEY could actually AFFORD that kind of car for themselves, but still... it's so annoying. It's like, if you're not "in" with the COOL guys, then everything you do, even if its actually good, gets criticised.

Lol, I know this is just some schoolboy rant, but I just need to get it out coz I'm way pissed off right now and wish I just had an inconspicuous fiesta.

Someone say something to make me feel better lol...

PS. NO I'm not a "nerd", I just have a problem with moronic dickheads, who think they are top sh*t doing burnouts in their RWD's out the front of a school.

PSS. sorry for the language

lol I hear you.

Mines red, its got big wheels & rubber, big brakes, a big f*cking wing, and now its got a whopping great, front mount intercooler on it...

EVERY SINGLE TOSSER wants to take me on at EVERY SINGLE SET OF LIGHTS. It does my f**king head in. Have these morons got nothing better to do? Like go to Centrelink to pick up enough cash to buy that 17" chrome exhaust tip for the VL Commodore they always wanted?

Thats why mines going to be more of a Sunday driver these days.

Dw about Slurpee he's a dirty faggot. (lol jk man)

Anyway moving along - Till this day I cop some sh*t from somewhere about my FTO.

A real enthusiast will recognise a car for what it's worth and if they decide it's a piece of sh*t, there's usually a justifiable reason. You're taking sh*t seriously from people who don't know sh*t all about cars.
I mean, they're drive Commodores (LOL). As much as you want to prove them wrong and argue, don't bother. They're going to believe what they want to believe. Just secretly laugh at them knowing they're the ones driving the pieces of sh*ts, and they're just jealous.

Don't take what people say seriously, they're comparing your car to evo's and wrx's etc which are much newer. Don't worry so much about what other people think :)
I have to work - People on the dole depend on me.

I guess my huge weakness is I care too much about what other people say. even when they have no idea what they are on about, if it's criticism of me it fires me up just the same. So it annoys me that i don't have the time to fix my fan belt and now i get heaps of attention when i start my car, even though there is essentially nothing wrong with it. It's always been my flaw, i bite at everything people say and I can't help it lol, especially when I know I'm right and they are wrong. :(

mate, i get exactly the same thing.
and i used to care a lot about what people thought about my car too.
thesedays if people start bagging my car I turn up the sub and say "what!?!?! can't hear youuuu" - spin the wheels. bye bye :)
they'll stop talking sh*t if they roll up at the lights next to you ;)

Is that coz people laugh at you when you say you have a Mitsubishi? I swear to god, I say I have a Mitsubishi FTO to people and they just make this stupid face, and I bet half of them have never even seen an FTO in their life. It's like they have some automatic thought of magnas, 380s, or lancer gli, so therefore it must be sh*t.

ha ha what a schoolboy rant!

sorry, i just had to laugh. you're not emo are you dan?

okay! being serious though, i completely feel for where you're coming from. you said it yourself - at the end of the day, if people want to be stupid and opinionated, they will. it doesn't matter what you do or say, no matter how impressive or right. they'll still tell you you're *~delightful!~*.

SO, just stop even trying to win em round. You can't, and you just look all the more silly for trying, and getting upset about the whole thing.

When I got my first FTO, i got the same sort of reaction from a lot of people - it alternated between "oooh, parent's gave you your first car huh" (f*ck off, i worked hard and bought it myself) and "look, another hoon in a hotted up car with p plates" (how many advanced driving courses have you been on? none? stfu!).

At the end of the day, like aza said - you like driving it, you see past the squeaky fanbelt on cold startup (lol, you should fix that but)... well, what else matters?

My fiances car has been attacked by haters, funny enough, by haters that have more money that us combined (when my fiance had a job  ) and yet, yep, they will still try to race me everywhere, I think it's funny driving on or just below the limit and have them get more pissed off and screw up.

Meanwhile, my 'low key' car which was my first car is now turbo charged, and has a sporty look, and then I keep getting asked why I did what I did to a Magna, funny when they see how it runs they shut up.

I used to care what people thought all the time, gave up, cause people are morons... I dont make exceptions to anyone unless they prove otherwise, cause as soon as you expect something, you get disappointed.

In the end, you have to do what makes you happy, and to hell with everyone else.
It's really sad to have to have this outlook on life, but lifes to short to worry about Joe Moron.
