I used to play electric, played for about 4 years during high school way back. These days I play acoustic. Not much though. Although as soon as I pick it up, I relearn everything in an instant. Its not easy to forget.

used to be the biggest muso back in H.S aswell. Still have a few of my guitars (fender tele, ep korina flying v and a ibanez acoustic).... Then my brother got a drum kit w/ double kick and i got more interested in that.........

Once you pick the guitar up you remember all the techniques you've learnt but always struggle to remember the songs you learnt ages ago aswell.

Yep. I forgot more than half of the songs though. I could probably re-learn them if I practiced more.

Still have my Ibanez gx series hanging on my wall just gathering dust. Ocassionally play my magnum acoustic.

Used to play guitar many years ago and my eldest son took it up a year or so ago and now his music teacher has basically told him he doesn't really have anything left to teach him... not that I', THAT jelous or anything

Youngest son is also a muso, he's an exeptional drummer for an 11 year old who can't really be bothered putting much effort into anything. So he'll probably end up being loaded from it

back from the grave!

also, yeah, guitar (epi SG) and bass (ibanez sr900)..

play most styles, but i cbf tuning to drop C..

mind you, pantera and metallica are usually standard/drop D, so you really don't need to be lower.. just up the gain to 10, and the volume to 11... but my amp is 120W of valve, so 11 is really not that hot an idea, seeing as ben will be calling me from a suburb over telling me that my friggin G is a little flat... lol

speaking of guitar, ima go play some anthrax!

LOL!! thats why you have two guitars! one with a locking floyd rose for c tunning and a standard for your E and D tunings. my ESP SV was deticated to metal and everything else was just for wanks LOL what amp you got uber? ive got a marshall TSL100 head and a marshal twin stack. pumping it to 3 on the volume knob makes my dogs ears bleed hahaha

yeah, i want a schecter V1 without the floyd, i helped a mate restring his ESP with a floyd... never again...

also, bugera 333xl 2x12... its half mesa, half marshal.. owned by behringer... basically they're cheap (1k or so) and sound awesome, though there isnt much quality control over there, and allans music gets heaps of returns from channels dying and sh*t.. but mines been swell so far.. and you're lucky to be able to play it at 3 lol.. my 1-10 is basically just 0-1 lol, any louder than that and ignorant dad and deaf grandma tell me to shut up..

also, lawso, you ARE a cradlesnatcher lol, so its best you refrain from jokes that not everyone will get...

btw i HAVE actually snapped a g string, though i dont remember what i was fingering.. i think i slapped her a little too hard, then popped accordingly and BANG, got a f**king nasty slap to the face..
