GPX spark plug tube socket

Post by Shane001 »

Hi guys,

Anyone got one of these puppies lying around. I'm after the genuine tube socket that came with the cars in the factory tool kit bag thingy ;)

This is what it looks like.

I'm keen to get a genuine tube socket rather than grinding down a socket, as I expect I'll be removing the plugs regularly once I start playing with the tuning.

Cheers.

Nope, don't want to f**k around with sockets that'll come off the socket bar cause they're too tight on the spark plug then I have to try and dig them outa that long dark hole

Don't want to be stuffing around with sh*t like this at the track. Sometimes it's better to have the right tool rather than a mock up ;)

Yeah I'll probably do a ring around tomorrow, if not I'll just order one from camskill.

I need to have one before Wakefield Park in 2 weeks.

I could lend you my one for the weekend.
I will also drop into the tool shops tomorrow after work as I think I seen some down there. I will let you know how I go.

Yeah that'd be cool, thanks aza, gives me a bit more time to find a genuine one. I don't think the Camskill one is genuine, going to email them to confirm.

PS: Check the motorsport thread in a few minutes ;)

A normal socket won't fit a GPX as it has indents in the plug tube.

Does if you grind it down on a bench grinder ;)

Hand made tools ftw
