4" Pod question

Does anyone know of a pod filter of high performance with a 4" hard inlet that I can use for the UAS pipe?

Or is there none in existence and would I have to buy a short 4" aluminum pipe and the 4" inlet K&N or something?

Im pretty sure the K&N filter I have in the FS section has a 4"inch outlet. Its not hard but you can just get a piece of 4" inch tubing wouldnt cost you any more than $20

^^ Yeah I might as well do that. Shouldn't die from the engine bay temp. Just thought I'd use the least amount of materials thats all.

Was that with a hard inlet to use with the UAS pipe?

Never had a UAS pipe. Mines a GR and i had a 4" adapter plate for my MAF sensor. Changed it now though. Had to fit a 3-4" silicone reducer to fit the pod to a 3" metal pipe.

Wait, so that means it has a hard flange? Since you mentioned that its held by a 3-4" silicone reducer? The silicone is soft so the inlet on the pod should be hard to clamp right?

ah ha! yes.... I clamped the soft pod and the soft reducer to a 1.5" length of 4" diameter dunny pipe :) Cheap and nasty, but it works... and no one will ever see it

LOOOL!!

Ah I get you now... I'll probably get me one of those 4" dunny pipe couplers. But I won't be needing the pod soon - Im going to wait till my unifilter gets black or something

I went to Rocket Industries in Eastern Creek, just ask for a 4" K&N clamp on. Cost me $110. 4" Silicon piping cost $66 - Just get the Silicon, it's better and doesn't heat up as much/fast so better than metal piping, also hassle free (you can cut it down to fit yourself).

Can also go to UAS in seven hills. I told John about his current GR intake being poor quality that's why nobody from the forums goes to him, and if he did one similar to what mine is currently then any GR owners that need one will go straight to him.

I'll post a pic of mine once I get home, Ben just helped me put it on last weekend, used a 4 inch silicon hose with a 90 degree angle from my MAF sensor to the pod, stuck a small peice of dunny pipe from Bunnings inside to hold it in place.

Post that pic! A lot of gr owners are in need..

I already have the uas pipe.. i'll just use a 4" dunny pipe to hold a 4" inlet pod in there... but not anytime soon, gotta wait til this unifilter gets back as coals

might try to find a 4" hks though...

HKS super power flow (green mushroom) is 4" and comes with an adapter to fit into an intake pipe (whether it be stock or UAS pipe).

I had this before it fell off mysteriously and I noticed I was driving with a pod 8O
Supposedly it's more restrictive than a KNN one.
