Excellent, I have somewhere to start now.. anyway you know how I can test all these? (I know how to test the fuse), and I can guess how to test the globes
but how do I test to see if the switch is broken?
What does the switch look like?

test lights first and fuse if both of them work then the sensor in the gear box take it out and clean it up ( test wires to make sure there getting power) if you test all that and it still dosent work you will need to buy another

Considering the car still goes backwards, I would say that it is in reverse....

I still haven't addressed this problem, iv been in the USA for the last few weeks, I get home in a week and a half, and I think I have another week off work after that, so hopefully that can be addressed then...
