Couple of questions

Post by nikhan »

Boss Kit - Ok so my car has a momo steering wheel and boss kit that leaves about an inch gap from the rack. Been looking up the search and found that some ppl have this problem as well. Is there any boss kit that fits almost or better still, perfectly?? Asked some questions to the sellers off ebay and waiting for their reply. But I though of getting some advices (more likely to be accurate) from here as well.

Indicator Stalk Combination Switch - Whenever i take turns with my indicators on, it doesnt go back to its original position when I straighten the wheel. So I took my steering off and had a look. The switch looked fine (not broken or anything) but it doesnt seem to be catching the clasp of the indicator rods properly. So all in all, when I do a full lock sometimes the indicators auto goes back to its position but when I make a right turn it doesnt. It seeks I need a longer and thicker (no pun intended) combination switch. Prob might need parts from Dwayne again

Lolx. I've no idea man. It came with the car.
The aftermarket steering wheel attached to it, is the cheapie 'autotechnica' brand though.

Hope that helps. :)

Yeah I know. But I got into contact with a guy in the UK and he told me he has a few that are ajustable as well to fit. He has done it on his FTO so I'm gonna get it and try it out. Will keep you guys updated soon with pictures. Paid 53 bucks including postage from the UK all in all so its still pretty reasonable.

I've fitted a few dodgy brands including ones that wouldn't cover the area & I came up with a multitude of fixes. Have cut up a black binder cover & glued it to the back of the boss to cover the area thats showing.

For the indicator canceller, they never snap into place properly. On the back of the boss, there should be 3 drill holes that should match up with the 3 lugs on the front face of the canceller. The easiest way I found to get it to stay in place - glue the fucker to the back of the boss  Then it becomes part of the boss & goes on all in one hit.

Lolz I was thinkin of glueing the indicators as well. Prob might cut out a piece of cardboard and line it up with the back of the boss so that the glue would stick better rather that sticking that bugger straight to the metal. I'll see how it goes when my boss kit arrives. If it fits just right I will post the ebay site here for whoever might be interested.
