any ideas on the internal diameter of the top coolant hose?

i need to cut it and fit a water temp sensor adaptor for my gauge.

any tips on how and where is the best place to install this?

Why not piggyback off the existing sender?

cos its good to have a new sender which gives a more accurate reading as appose to a sensor which is over 13years old?
i mean whats the point of having a new gauge which feeds off an old sender?

Then pull your old sender out & replace it with your new sender. No need to f*ck about & cut up hoses.

And unless there's crap or corrosion stuck on the old sender (which is very easily removed with a wire brush) it wont make 2 nobs of goat sh*t difference to the accuracy. Its just a brass lug.

thanks
that sender looks very similar to the ones which comes with the gauge. might try to see if it fits in.
