Post by fto_rookie »

Hello Everybody

I ran found myself in some trouble with my beautiful FTO(involved in a crash)
long story short I need some parts to get her on the road again:

front bumper (pre-facelift)
front right head light
front right fender
Boot lid(spoiler or no spoiler)
rear bumper stock
rear left fender
some of the power steering stuff(not sure yet)

if anyone can help let me know
Btw im in perth

Cheers Fto rookie

Quite a shopping list..

If in NSW I would say contact DStocks.. But yeah, to get all that to WA, u may have to look at getting yourself a wreck, and pick off the parts..
I just had to add it ......

Front and rear !!?

You got caught in between?

Edit: There is a car repaur shop in Welshpool. I do not know the name, but they seem to stock parts of popular imported cars, including the FTO. I saw a pre-facelift bumper and doors.

I can try and ask my mate for the exact details. They have a chinese name as well.

I thought you only had damage to the rear lol, items like headlights and p/s components should be cheap to post try www.findapart.com.au/ you should get a reply within a day, also the rear left fender (qtr panel) will cost a lot to replace. probably can be pulled out and filled ,it depends on the skill of the panel beater you should get different opinions from them.

Hey guys
thanks for all the help i managed to pick up a wreck in Perth so most the parts at once :)
quite a few things are still in the progress being changed over since time is a problem... but a lot closer to getting back on the road.

next step: chasing down a good place that mixes paint!
Does anyone know what the correct name for the colour code T88?

Alright gave Auto one a call and they don't have T88C code listed.
But they do have T88 which falls under a Chrysler listings of "Dark Blue" for cars from 92 till 96.
I haven't confirmed any thing yet but the quote I got was 3L of paint(T88) for $170

what you guys think T88 "Dark Blue" close enough? and is it just me or does that seem a little steep for 3L of paint?

Is that thinned out and ready to spray?

Or will you still have to apply the thinners?

Seems like a good price to me.. I am sure I paid more then that some time ago for a corolla I resprayed.. But it wasn't thinned..
I just had to add it ......
