18" Rims

Im looking at getting a set of 18" Rims, Vault Savannaha's to be precise, was just wondering if the tyres and rims they are giving will fit ok....

They are 18x7.5 rims with 225/40/18 Falken tyres.

Anyone had experience with these tyres and the company ?

Im getting these new deleivered to my door for $2300, is this good ?

Does any know about the load rating for FTO's also ? Do these Tyres comply with the load rating ??

that is a very good price for a set of 18s with tyres... 225 tyres should fit with no major dramas without scrubbing, provided it's the right offset.

you'd have to ask the place where you bought the rims from... if they are more than 45mm (i think std factory is 42mm) then you 'might' have rubbing issues in the inner guards...

They wont be fitting them as im in Adelaide so that price includes delivery to my door

So the offset is something that is done when fitted its to do with the rim and tyre right ??

Ok the offset is 40mm they said they will fit straight on ...

been looking at theire site for a while now.
Hence, the reason I want to know the the FAlken range from low to high...

I've been contemplating on these.. which I don't think not much ppl should have on their FTO's... i've always wanted 10 spokes.

what do you guys reckon? will it suit?

225/40 zr 18 will scrub at the front on full lock
215/35 are the best to go

Personally recommend tempetyres.

With them saying 225/40 will fit straight on, that would be with a non lowered car wouldnt it ??

My car is lowered but has plenty of room with 17's on it they are HKS super form springs, anybody have any concerns with the 18's fitting ok ??

Just ordered my 18" Zenetti Tek with 225/35 from tempe, $2180 to my door in brisbane! chrome too, very nice and a good price!

barfy, the tyre/wheel combo you are getting will be 1cm larger than the standard wheels.

- You will have 1cm less clearance around the guard
- Your car will sit 0.5cm higher
- Your speedo will be out by 4% (when your speedo reads 100kmh you are actually going 104kmh) - watch for speed cameras

Should i get 225/35 or 225/40 ? 35 would make sure i dont get scrapage on full lock but i reckon i would be ok with 225/40....

Any thoughts ?

225/35 will give you virtually an identical circumference to the stock wheels. I'd being going for the 35's over the 40's as you'll have no speedo issues and less (if any) tyre rub issues.

Just keep in mind, the lower the profile for the tyres, the harsher the ride is going to be.
