If its those EP racing ones, they fade really bad, im pretty sure they are just fibreglass with a carbon sticker ontop.

Adam, I am also looking for a carbon bonnet. If you end up finding someone who can supply two let me know, we might be able to get a deal or save some money on freight ect.

Thanks
Andy

Do you mean those fake carbon look stickers?

The difference between real carbon fibre and the fake carbon sticker is pretty obvious, especially under sunlight. My mate has an EP racing carbon fibre wing which used to be on kate's gr before it had the carbon boot and up to now i still want to take it off him - still smooth and shiny.

Nah It has that deep reflective look on the front of the boot like real carbon but its a weird sticker, fibreglass combo. on the inside of the boot i can see the fibreglass threads.

Its real carbon, just not a full carbon boot, part carbon, part fibreglass... I'd imagine to cut the cost?

On kates' cf boot, the parts where the cf peeled off looks like it's just a stickers on top of fiberglass rather than a real stuffs like carbon-weaved wrapped on top of fiberglass. I could be wrong though.

I would go for whichever is lighter. I remember stef's silver fto fiberglass bonnet felt lighter than craig's cf ones.
Though for sure the fiberglass alone is weaker as it tends to flex and would shatters easily on impact as opposed to the one strengthened with a layer of carbon-weaved coating.

The top certainly feels like it flexes like carbon fiber, but the 'skeleton' underneath im certain is fibreglass... Right stef? ;)

    Also, Relaxbrah! :)

If it is a sticker, then it is a damn good one! The way it reflects sunlight looks like something only a real weaved pattern could do :?
