rearview mirror fallen off

hi, the rearview has fallen off the little ball joint holding it to the windscreen. Anyone know how to put it back on properly? i tried to push it back on but thought i'd crack the windscreen if i pushed any harder. and adhesives arent working because the ball isn't in properly. any ideas? thanks

remove the post from the windscreen first. Its just attached on with a clip. From memory twisting it will make it detach. Once that is off you should be able to apply enough force to sort it out.
