HID headlight not working

Post by Kablaamo »

So my passenger side headlight has all
Of a sudden stopped working driver side works perfectly fine, I couldn't see any damage done to the wires or ballast or any loose connections, surely it couldn't be the bulb since it's the HIDs from
FTOworks group buy a few months ago

Fuse from where to what? None of the ballast is damaged or any of the wiring

HID headlight not working

Post by bass_twitch »

My bets on ballast. Is it flickering/or making funny noises?
If it is the globes (I doubt it) I have a spare set of 8000k sitting in my room ATM.
You can have them for $15. :)

I'll swap the bulbs over tonight see what happens so bass if you don't
Mind hang on to your spare set I may take it off your hands :)

The Side that does work the ballast make a very subtle eeeeeeee/buzz type noise the other side used to aswell
When I first put them in, never flickered or anything like that just stopped working - though since day One when
I'd turn them on they'd go to full brightness then dull and warm
Up over a few seconds

sounds like my old ballasts.
One started making high pitched whining noises, then the other started.
Then they started flickering then they went completely.
New slim line ballasts ftw! :)
