The one that I always fined that stuffs things up is the remote wire, have you checked that one?

havent wired it in
Basically what i did is see how it was wired into the other fto, and then wire it in the same, although one might have been lost in translation - goes through a big connector changing wire colours slightly for some, with half of them not plugging into the head deck itself but into the amp. shame it wasnt the same plug into the new head unit
amp isnt receiving any data to turn on and pump the music, however the capacitor is still drawing power, which would mean a line from the amp to the head unit is the problem?
Double checked all the wires and where they should go, nothing I can see is wrong, spliced them all correctly and tight etc, just need to find that one wire i bet!
Just dont want to take it to someone and fork over hundreds of dollars for a 5min fix. Then be told that i need to buy this and this as well as they do...

Can you measure the ohm's from the rear of the deck, speaker output?
4-8 ohm's is the healthy margin?
A stoke of luck or a gift from god?
The hand of fate or devil claws?

Unfotunately that means nothing to me as i dont have the wiring guide for the head unit, and all the wires go through a connector which goes to the amp i dunno.
As i didnt want to take out the connector and hook it straight to the head unit as i gathered my amp would then not run, i just mapped what went to what and wired it all up after the connector.
In any case, got shenal looking at it, saves me a big headache and probably screwing it up again. least its on and wired up right to the speakers, just need that one wire missing to the amp.

In any case that will be handy for shenal if we get stuck.
    Cheers Dwayne!

Just got back from matt's...well my previous owner is fucked in the head, so many unnecessary wires and a headache for anyone to follow - all it was in the end was the remote wire - +1 for Dwayne but i need to rewire the whole fricken thing, theres a sock in my drivers door ffs dont know what its doing, just a sock with some wires through it or some sh*t and wires leading nowhere and plugged in for no reason.
Least i wired it in right cept for one wire...the most important one
