R.I.P MY BELOVED GP VERSION R AERO SERIES 98 CRASHED PICS :(

Post by khaled2c »

I have just totaled my very rare FTO, in 1998 only 30 of these were made worldwide..

official Mitsubishi figures show that only 350 GP Version R's were produced as facelift 1997 models - Only 30 Version R's were produced in 1998 before production of this model stopped.

at 113,000 kms this one had to be the cleanest and most spotless one their is on these roads today all the pics of the car are up on my other post. http://ftoaustralia.com/v3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=25078

will miss you heaps :(

Thats gota suck, I know how much we all get attatched to our FTO's. :(
You didn't get to love it for very long, or ride in it for very long.
Personal question....Was the accident your fault? Don't answer if you can't/don't want to.
Will the insurance company keep the wreck?
Will you look for another FTO?

yes thats true i didnt own the car for long at all. yeah i guess it was my fault i had a mate beside me that i got distracted by all cause connecting a song to the ipod connectivity. i got payed out $12,700 i only wanted the insurance to fix my car which was not possible at all. if i kept the parts i would of been selling it so sorry about that. im thinking to buy a type R dc2 or save the money for a loan for a house.

Shame to see one of these written off. Certainly doesnt look like 12k damage. Glad you are OK.

On another note, be nice to pick up the wreck. Would be some goodies on offer there.

I have to dispute this comment though. My 99 Aero has 101, 000 on the clock and is show car quality.

I'm sure he meant 'one of' just to show his love for his car, I'm sure the poor guy's last worry right now is who's car is better than his (even though of course I do agree with dstocks about his car ;) ).

Anyway, at least you're alright, and it must suck not having enjoyed the car for what it is for too long. Let's just blame the Honda driver (too early for jokes?).

Make sure you get yourself checked out, as a lot of accident related pain gets worse weeks after the accident, even if you feel alright and only a little bit of neck pain now, just good to cover yourself.

Yeah, shouldnt have jumped on that

You could pick up a similar FTO for the payout if you are patient. There are always a few immaculate ones floating around.

We all love our FTO's and think they are one of the best around an that is a good thing :D . So we don't mean any thing bad by it.
It's sad to see these thing :( .

When I was rear ended, it was over 7k damage and it was just cosmetic damage and chassis was fine.

Ahhhh, theyve priced brand new replacement parts through Mitsubishi Australia. That would explain it.
