I find the paddles on 2.5 are very handy :D
It doesn't show the hub adaptor, that you will need, it is the connection from the steering shaft spline to the quick release.
The short hub adaptor that you will need is SRK100H. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NRG-Steering ... 564a5a7b0a
You will find that the brass disc on the hub adaptor that contacts your springed horn connector from your steering shaft will be too small diameter.
To get mine to work I grabbed the springed horn connector with vice grips and bent it down about 10-15 degrees and then it made contact. :D

The insert of the quick release is bolted to the short hub adaptor

So are u say that the 2.5 short hub sits on the 2.0 boss kit

The short hub adaptor part number SRK100H fits the FTO and works with 2.0 + 2.5 + 3.0 quick releases.
The hub lock works with 2.0 + 2.5 quick releases.

I am saying that the 2.5 quick release with it's paddles, makes it easier to remove your steering wheel from your FTO. It gives you something to grip onto.
