Get codes.
Test cylinder compressions.
Test spark/coils.
Test fuel flow/pressure.
Check oil level.

i think i found the problem. 3 wires coming out of injector wiring has been torn up by the ac belt. just going to give it to the auto elecs

i attached a photo of what wires are torn. not my engine but same wires.
can someone tell me what they are for?
my poorly drawn circle and arrow, show which wires i am referring to.

That would be correct, Nick's was damaged when his P/S belt snapped as well, we swapped the sensor out and all was good.
His refused to start, and the Check engine light flashed the error code for the Crank angle sensor when we checked the codes.

kool. how hard is it to replace the sensor? considering just getting the auto elecs to come out and change it and fix wiring?

It's a bit of a pain in the backside, you have to remove the P/S and alternator belts etc, then remove the harmonic balancer, and the timing belt covers, then you can get to it.
If it's just the cable snapped and you can see the snap then you may be able to repair it without removing all that
We were able to do it in a few hours at home, but we didn't have the right tools etc on us, so with the right tools it'd be a reasonably painless job.

Hard to tell but are you sure that doesn't go down to the crank angle sensor?
Edit: sorry page didn't refresh before I posted. Yeah pretty sure is crank angle.

Same happened to me.
I was able to solder the wires back together without removing anything.

(yes that is your crank angle sensor 100%) I had my crank angle sensor foul up to. Obviously engine wont start if its not working, but the thing was it would display no error codes. I bet if u ground a wire on the diagnostic port it wont show up anything, unless of course its another code for something else. Lucky for me my first guess was crank angle sensor.

That's a bit odd... especially as there is a code (22) specific for the crank angle sensor.
