R33
I took an R33 GTS-T for a spin on Friday...not too many mods and not boosted and omfg the thing is a machine...
I then took the owner for a spin in my FTO...and he was suprised how well it went and the sounds it makes...(cos I have a stock looking pipe) he was freaked at 5.5k with the MIRVEC / CAI and Exhaust all in tune...which i must say sounds awsome!!
hehe..R33 was damn fast though.

hey kid...yeah it was. In great condition. Yeah I was suprised about the fuel consumption...its like my ford...but I assume if u drive like and old lady you get some decent Km's per tank...lol like that will happen!!
the only issue was the left sideskirt was not quite fitted correctly...had a gap..but only a small one and looks like it will go on fine and and the "S" badge at the front was missing.
We were talking about the boost controller and he said he had been having issues with it boosting too high or something so he took it off. I'm not sure what that means.
So watch this space!

one of the guys at work took me for a ride in his R32, it had a few mods like coilovers, 3" exhaust, boost controler, HKS air filter and a hi-flowed turbo. This thing had some turbo lag, on low boost it would hit it at 2700rpm, high boost it didn't hit 15psi until 5000rpm, but when it did hit boost it would hit you so hard you were pushed into the seats, it was a weird but exciting feeling.

yeah kev...I recently sold my ford...some guy just turned up and paid cash without even driving the car...so I only have the FTO atm. I was looking for another car around the 15k mark and considered another FTO...but then i found that R33's had dropped heaps and were 13-16k. I finally found one I liked and took it for a spin last friday...was in good shape it seems and the guy is willing to get it comp. tested etc for me so that should tell me how its going...thaks to Kid-Dynamite for helping me out with some info.
It has an HKS cat back system, GTR front and wing - looks and sounds awsome. He did have a boost controller on it for a bit but it was spiky as sh*t so he took it off..anyway I can get a good one on ebay that all the skyline crew use for like $30.
Overall I was impressed with the looks and performance of the R33. The seats are quite nice and the dash is ok. Of course i will be changing the dials
If it all goes well I will have it by Friday. ...boost land here we come!!
Now my wife will get the FTO...even after I wack on the new BOZZ front and skirst and new paint...bit worried about that! also she plans to but mishi morro all over the joint...don't be suprised If I turn up looking rice!

All this Skyline talk...
*Brushes dirt from his shoulder*
"I feel so dirty!"
You gents might appreciate my mechanics R33.... (still under construction)

The Car has been built with a Nismo 400r Theme, the front and rear bars are original NISMO 400R, The wheels are a Traditional Nismo, Magnesium LM GT series
The engine features a bullet proof bottom end, forged pistons, billet Con Rods, modified crankshaft, N1 oil and water pumps, and Hi vol sump, 2 front mount oil coolers, OS tripple plate clutch should hang in there, some Ohlins suspension will be taking care of the handling. A heap of head work, aftermarket Valve train, springs, and cams, vernier cam gears, Custom manifold and dump pipes.
Hairdriers consist of dual 25/30 type setup to maximize midrange power, Cooler is a huge 6 inch custom fridge.
Aftermarket computer system being played with the new Autronic SM4, which is still in its prototype stages.
Porsche calipers with V8 touring car 365mm disc rotors front and 328mm rear are its new anchors - still be running the factory abs system to avoid running brake bias valves.
The car has already received the audio and sat nav system featuring JBL & MTX speakers, Kicker 6 channel amplifier , Pioneer head unit, 2 x 12 inch subs in a custom boot fitout & VDO Dayton satellite navigation.
