Anthony Mundine IS now officially the man

Post by dimi »

Love him, hate him,

Anthony Mundine IS now officially the man

He made Green look average, too quick, too much stamina, just too good

Which is a pity cause i really wanted Green to win.

On a lighter note former Manly Sea Eagles Winger John Hopate had his first pro fight. It was ugly (he literally clubbed his oppponet to death, their was NO boxing what so ever, just clubbing) after it was all said and done and the ref raised his hand.

John pumped his fist in the air and then it happened. He extended his index finger to the sky.

The rest is history :D

What?

Did he pop a couple of elephant spiders, whip out some glow sticks and dance him into unconsciousness? :-)

Cheers

yeah i thought it was a bit of a bum-buddy match, not really that impressive. i think green had better quality shots but munman was a hell-of-a-lot quicker and consistant.

All together the fight was rather dissapointing, well for us who wished nothing more than for mundine to hemorrhage internally and later die in hospital

Mundine could have been one of the best australian sportsman ever, except he choose to play the race card and shoot off his mouth and pretty much offend everyone in the country.

get f*cked ;) im not a mundine supporter but hes always happy to talk to everyone and speak his mind, and he is good-minded too if you bother to listen to what hes saying instead of the words he says.

green is a angry b&*tard and never talks to anyone if you watch him...and hes always trying to get the croud to hate mundine for reasons that sound good at the time, and the croud believes it! greens a tosser of the highest order....

and! the better fighter won

average fight? gee which fight were you guys watching......

it was technically a very good fight. There was no brute power or wild swings. it was cat and mouse, technically mundine was brilliant. Quick on his feet, lighting hands and he hit the target a greater percantage of the time then green did. And green admitted as much.

I thought it was a very very good contest against two fighters in ultimate condition who were also very different in styles.

I think if they fought two years ago green would have won, but mundine is more experience now. Lets not forget mundine has no real amateur career compared to nearly every boxer going around. He is still learning.

My boxing coach picked mundine, said he is one of the quickest guys going around.

The match would have been different, if the match was in Perth. I would have actually seen it live. The woman (mundine), had a hiss-fit and it got changed to sydney!

He is gonna get knocked the f*** out against Kessler!

how would it have been different? most people were booing mundine in his home town anyway.... only difference would have been yobs throwing bottles at him.

he has already gone 12 rounds with kessler... only the second person to do that.

[quote="SG"]get f*cked ;) im not a mundine supporter but hes always happy to talk to everyone and speak his mind, and he is good-minded too if you bother to listen to what hes saying instead of the words he says.quote] Ok,let me start off by saying i have no doubt the better fighter won.I will lay out a few reasons for my dislike because i have no desire for lengthy discourse.

1.He played the race card
2.He also brought religion into it
Quick reference, stated by the man several weeks before the fight,on Danny Green "He represents corperate white australia".Yes,he is white other than that there is no correlation between the statement and Danny Green.
Yes he always talks. Why,because difficult to silence a unintelligent loud mouth with no sense of propriety.
I believe u should take what u have said to heart.Listen to what he is trying to say and be.Assuredly u will come to another conclusion other than that previously stated because no matter how hard he tries he will never be Ali.Yes,he may be lacking in proper diction, but his msg of intolerance is still quite prominent. However it is a self made prison created by the man and no doubt the leeches who surround him spouting this religous properganda.

How can he say he is as good as Mohamed Ali and Michael Jordan.

Those 2 are legends! How can mundine compare?

Mundine is a spoilt brat, that only knows how to talk sh*t about everyone without making sense.

The main reason everyone wanted to see this fight was for someone to knock some sense into him (mundine), I was certain Green was going to do it!

I don't mind him bing abo, i hate cocky bastards like him.

i wrote a long answer but i'll simplify it down

hes not a nazi ok

didnt see him say what you said so i dont know what tone he woulda used, but im guessing it was just a witty taunt, stupid or not...if you've heard the sh*t that comes out of bricklayers mouths when they speak openly, or italian chefs, etc, its sorta the same thing, - loud, what you see is what you get, abusive if the situation calls, but most will be well minded.... you don't of course, take everything they say to heart

the thing that makes him a champ IMO is because no matter what he says hes still trying hard at what he does and never stops learning / finding new ways improve

If i had my daddy to support him like he did in the early years, i could be the best rugby player and boxer and so on so forth.

I hate his cockiness and the way he thinks he was born far superior than other person in the world.

I'm not saying that cockiness is a bad thing eg Mohamed ali. He was the cockiest person alive. But he was the World Heavy weight champion and defied all odds.

He reminds me of Ali... but the world doesnt want or need another Ali...

gotta admit he proved himself right though.

it was just a too technical fight, everyone just wanted to see someone get dropped
