This is just an FYI post.
I'm sure some of you have put on after-market fuel pumps, possibly even a Walbro. I've just had one of these fitted and wow, what a noisy little f$%cker it is! The constant whining sound drives me nuts but I've been assured it's normal and I've confirmed this in my own research too. The Mitsu's are particularly noisy with after-market pumps. Anyway, my solution is going to be getting a sheet of sound insulation and laying it underneath the back seat. I reckon that should cut out the cabin noise substantially.
