^^ correct. Thanks Tyson.
OK, so the 3 big things that need doing are...
-New/reconditioned turbo
-Suspension
-Brakes
and I'm going to have to do them in this order.
Brakes I'm going to get through Astron Boy's contact so no need to go on about them just yet.
I got quoted $3000-$3300 by Fulcrum for a set of tien's the other day which is just way too expensive. Going to need some help on this one but lets worry about the snail first.
I need either my turbo reconditioning or replaced for a new one. I've had quotes over the phone and by email (so bare in mind that they haven't seen the turbo) and basically I'm looking at at least $1000
GCG said "the base price for repairs is around $850.00. If it definately needs a bearing pack, you would be looking over $1000 to repair as the parts are quite expensive, hence why we haven't repaired one of these units in about 4 years (customers usually buy a new or larger unit due to the cost being close to a new turbocharger)."
This one is $1388

Is this the right one?
Hyper Gear said "depending on whats wrong with the turbo. Generally BB turbos needs a new core that will cost around the $1000 mark. Or we can overhual it with sleeve bearing setup which will perform the exact same way costing $750. A brand new core means we order a brand new CHRA of what you currently have then install that to your current housings. So it would be back to what it was. Sleeve bearing CHRA means we will build you a brand new CHRA in the same configuration or can be some thing slightly larger for your housing, it can be built to perform the same way or high out put depending to your goal."
Precision Turbochargers @ Wetherill Park said around $1000 too.
A GT2860R @ boostinimports
http://www.boostnimports.com/parts.html is $1290.00 for a new one.
What "A/R" option do I need?
Is there anywhere I can trade in my old one for a discount off a new one? Like you do with games at JB hifi?
