D: o2 sensor
E: blocked cat (or dying)
Fuel smell from B onwards.

Well, I did hollow out the cat about 6month ago. As in just smashed all the honeycomb out
is that bad?
Is this the fuel regulator thing u mentioned yesterday ? The blue hose below it wasn't on properly and i could hear it sucking in air, and when I pulled it out, the car engined stopped lol. Could this be the cause of the above

That's the MAS sensor, yes it will cause issues.

That's the MAP sensor. (Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor)

Measures the volume of air entering the chamber in order to tell the ecu how much fuel should be delivered, as well as a few other things.
Honestly not 100%, but I'm sure that's the major gist.
No idea how they work, more used to carbys.
The fuel reg is on the fuel runners.

Ok so it could easily be telling the ecu to inject more fuel because its been sucking in outside air ?
Because nothing is faster than a p plater in a commodore.....

Meanwhile, what I said based on a MAF which is before the throttle, unsure if a MAP works the same.
In the end, the plenum is supposed to be sealed to outside air, as it's constantly sucking in air from the cylinders.
IF a vacuum hose is off or cut, or whatever, then the engine can suck in more air that isn't being controlled by the butterfly.

that noticeable power increase and what seems to be so much extra torque in MIVEC definitely be from me changing the plugs and doing the service right? Not from the extra fuel? Lol hope not ..
Oh and the old spark plugs were all just the standard NGK , not iridium tipped , so that would be why I've noticed an improvement aswell right?
Man I ask a lot of questions farout

The photo of the old plugs you posted up on the first page were NGK platinums.

oh were they :S they had a different number on them that I thought was the same as the standard cheaper ones from eBay.

Sooo iridiums are the best
"Spark plugs are all about conducting electricity between a gap to ignite the air/fuel mixture. The better spark you get, the more complete burn you get, and the more power you get out of the fuel you're using (and less emissions, too). To get a better spark, you need to use a good conductor. Copper is one of the best conductors available for spark plugs, and is dirt cheap, though it has pretty short life span. Nickel and platinum aren't that great, and are only used by manufacturers because of their extended life span.
Iridium is the best of both worlds. Even though iridium itself isn't the best conductor, it's extremely hard. It'll last the longest of any spark plug tip material (some are rated up to 100K). Being so hard, the tip can be made to a fraction of the size of a normal one. This creates a very concetrated spark in comparison, which easily negates the lower conductivity of the metal. Iridiums are know to ignite lean mixtures that other plugs can't, which would definitely help fuel efficiency.
I had an 86 Celica GT-S, and it ran horribly on NGK coppers. Tossed in some Denso Iridiums, and it ran like a champ. Not sure what was wrong with the car, but it really liked iridiums. I'm running NGK Iridiums on my current MR2 Turbo, and it likes them just as well. "

Personally I wouldn't go trusting a forum post for absolute.
Go the NGK website for a proper run down.
There is some truth in the statement you quoted, but again, it's also opinion.
My RVR with it's small TD04'd 4G63 hated anything but copper plugs, yet the HSG owners with their TD05s had more of a smooth idle and better fuel consumption with Iridiums.
There are a lot of factors at play.
With the FTO, it's simply as the rear 3 are a proper capital C to get at, and simply easier, so may as well do all 6. Put them in and leave for the high 5 digit inspection.
Meanwhile, you will never achieve my title!
