Replacement rear bearing advice needed!
Guys my rear bearing needs to get changed on my GP. My model is 1998.
All I can find on eBay is up to a 1997 model. Would this be the same part?
Thanks!

VIN will be stamped on the firewall in your engine bay likely or on a plate

I haven't got a PC with ASA (parts catalog) available at the moment to confirm, so can you tell me if the car has ABS or not?

Re: Replacement rear bearing advice needed!
Well it is a GPVR 5 speed Auto made in March 1998, are you sure it doesn't have ABS, does it have a larger brake booster in the engine bay?
MR316500 is the part number for the rear hub if it's ABS.

Hi Rob. Yes I'm sure it doesn't have ABS. I've tested the brakes tonight. Plus I've checked the fuse box and it doesn't have a fuse slot available where the ABS should be. No ABS symbol light on dash either.
Is it only showing a part number for an ABS model?
Thanks for the help and info mate.

Re: Replacement rear bearing advice needed!
I think it was the GPvR Aero that came with ABS as standard. Then the GPvR came with LSD as standard.

I thought all late 1997 onwards were ABS that's all and yes only showing the ABS part number, i'll check again in a bit though.

Thanks Rob, appreciate the help. I took a photo of my fuse box and there are no fuses where the ABS fuses should be. Is it possible that the previous owner took them out somehow? How can I upload a pic?

That could just be your missing the relay mate.
Bang on a pic of your brake booster and have a look down near the battery tray / firewall for the abs valve block thingy.

Here's a pic of the different brake boosters, ABS one is larger and has like a double hump

Re: Replacement rear bearing advice needed!
Cheers for that Rob. So I got my rear hub bearing changed today. It turns out I don't have ABS. I bought two hubs as I didn't know what would fit. The non-ABS fitted... Sent the ABS one back today. I was just about to buy the relays and fuse. I'm a bit disappointed it doesn't have ABS!

Re: Replacement rear bearing advice needed!
If you don't have ABS then it either isn't a version R or it's been removed.
