:D Wheeeeeee! A big box marked with FUNKY PRODUCT has just arrived at my door! :D New V3 Gauges, Type R Pedals, Clear Side Indicators, & Carbon Fibre Gauge Surround! YAY ME!

Now before I go charging into the garage, spanners & screwdrivers flailing wildly... Has anyone who has installed any of these items had any issues with them?

be careful with those v3 dials. ive got mine sittin in a box me being to chicken to try and fit them :oops: and send me a pic of that carbon dash surround once its fixed :twisted:

I second Shue's comment regarding the installing of the dials.


Be VERY VERY careful, it is one hell of a fiddly process.

Gauges - Just be careful with the needles and you should be ok.

Pedals - Simple enough - I opted for Sparco screw ons that you have to drill holes into the pedal itself. a lot harder to fit but once they're on they're on for good. Not sure what you have but usually farely obvious.

Side indicators - Easy to fit but sometimes a bit loose. Never had trouble with mine but you might feel safer putting a little clear silicone on the inside to fit it securely.

Gauge Surround - Piece of cake. I reccommend some thin d/s tape or a few small dabs of the same silicon to keep it in place.

I did mine not too long ago. Wrote a guide for installing them - see URL below:

Is fairly fiddly. The instrument surround will give you no grief - simply slips in (I think its the same as mine although mine is stainless steel). Do this at the same time as the gauges.

Well doesn't look like i'll be fitting them any time soon, need to get a new 3 new cabinet for my place.

Okay... Im having issues with the Tacho... Adjusting it is a bitch! HOw far am I supposed to be pulling it out! Im turning it and it's just springing back into place! 8O I'm going to pull stuff out again... Have to check my Fuel meter connection & Volt Meter connection... They seem to be off! Anyone got any tips for these?

Okay... Fuel Meter & Volt Meter sorted... Still not sure about the Tacho... I'm pulling on the needle but it ain't budging! I'm afraid I'll break it if I pull any harder 8O HELP!

Other than that... THEY LOOK FREAKING SCHAWEET! :P

Be very gentle. It will be a bit stiff, but make sure you DONT take it all the way off.

Yes... Used the guide, fantastic reference - No need to change it! :D

Pedals are on now too :P They look that good I'm sure they must add Kw! Hee hee...

Clear side indicatiors are a MASSIVE improvement over those horrendous orange things!
